Adventures in Medicine, AIM, Homeopathy

Dear All,

The course is now entering it's 3rd year! This coming year hopes to be the best yet with somenew teachers and an extra day on case taking and strategy

Students and Teachers alike have enjoyed the stimulation and inspiration of going more in depth into particular aspects of Homeopathic Paediatrics and each year has formed it's own student network

Some Students have qualified early and are now on the Pratictioner's page, some are still finishing and some have gone off to do other things. Everyone has enjoyed the challenge of taking their interest in treating children onto another level:

Resham Sohi DHP Qualified Sept 07

"Aim has contributed vastly to my existing knowledge and my personal development as a homeopathic practioner. After graduating from my fisrt course I was drawn to treating children. This course has given me the tools and knowledge to improve my existing practice, fine tune my case management skills, and confidently advise parents on challenging issues such as vaccinations. It was extremely fulfilling to receive lectures from experienced and passionate practioners."

Dianna Tibble RsHom. RM. PGDip hypnosis - AIM teacher of pregnancy & birth

"Many homeopaths feel that this phase in life was not thoroughly covered during their homeopathic training, so if you feel that there is a gap in your homeopathic knowledge of pregnancy, childbirth, babies, children to the teens then this is the coursse for you. The emphasis of Tina's post grad course is on a comfortable, unthreatening learning environment where homeopaths achieve a confidence and knowledge that enhances prescribing and treating mothers and their children. To teach on this course has been a privilege and a deligh. I would recommend AIM unreservedly"

I hope you will join us this coming year and continue to enjoy the adventure that is Homeopathy.

Christina Head MCH RsHom.

What is "Adventures in Medicine?"

There is a large gap in the training of homoeopaths when it comes to treating children. Most homoeopaths have to struggle for years to gain the knowledge and experience required to create a successful practice in paediatrics.

This course is designed to bridge that gap by providing training in paediatric care by experienced teachers who are experts in their field.

It is also designed to empower and support students to enable them to practice with knowledge and confidence in what is often a very little understood area of homoeopathy.

The Course

The course has been created by Christina Head, MCH, RSHom, author of the well-known book "An Educated Decision". Christina has been treating children in her busy homeopathic practice for many years, and has extensive experience in this area.

There is a strong practical emphasis on case-taking with video and paper case exercises, and students learn how to safely examine children in practice. The course also focuses strongly on sound constitutional and miasmatic treatment, child development & psychology and the pathology of childhood diseases.

The course runs for nine months from October to June. Each month has a theme focusing on different aspects of paediatrics from conception to puberty.

There is an early bird discount of 5% of the total cost of the course if the full amount is paid by the end of July.

You can attend the course in one of two ways:

Join the course as a Diploma student - do the full training to achieve a diploma in Homoeopathic Paediatrics - DHP - and become part of a new group of homoeopaths specialising in working with children

or come for a day or two just to learn more about a particular subject.
